“Way Out” documents the highlights of four Six And More concerts during the years 1999 to 2001.
The concert series for the 4th Six And More CD “Way Out” started in a dusty old barn amidst the idyllic pastures of Oy near the Lower Rhine. Following an invitation of Claus van Bebber, we played right in the middle of agricultural implements, cobwebs and the ghosts of times gone by. Our music was also of great interest to the cows which trotted to the barn from a nearby pasture and gazed with trusting goggle eyes at the acoustic variation in their surroundings.
The precipitous steep and black rock faces and the raging river at the entrance to the valley "Langfigtal" were the exciting
background for our concert at the “Café Oase”. Mathias Weber had invited Six And More to his café right below the bizarre rock formation “Teufelsloch” (i.e. Devil’s Hole) to create a music influenced by such a
tremendous scenery.
In Munich, the “birthplace” of Six And More, the concert took place at the “Echtzeithalle” (i.e. real time hall), the former beer
cellar of a brewery, at the invitation of Wolfgang Foag and the association “Echtzeithallen e.V.”. The round brick vaults were like a whispering grotto and these special acoustics rise to an extraordinarily
differentiated way of improvising our music.
We then celebrated “10 years of Six And More” in Rotterdam. At the invitation of R:IP (Rotterdamse Improvisatie Poel) we played,
together with them, a very special concert at the “WORM”, the former “Dodorama”. It was not only the first Six And More concert abroad, but also the concert captured on “Way Out” with the highest number of musicians
involved and – through the cooperation with R:IP – the first Six And More concert where half of the musicians played acoustic instruments.

"Way Out" dokumentiert die Höhepunkte von vier Six And More Konzerten in den Jahren 1999 bis 2001.
In einer staubigen alten Scheune, mitten in dem idyllischen niederrheinischen Weideland Oy begann die Konzertreihe zur vierten Six And
More CD "Way Out". Auf Einladung von Claus van Bebber spielten wir inmitten von landwirtschaftlichen Geräten, Spinnweben und den Geistern aus vergangenen Zeiten. Von grossem Interesse war unsere Musik auch
für die Kühe, die quer über eine benachbarte Weide zur Scheune trabten und mit treu glotzenden Augen die akustische Abwechslung in ihrer Umgebung bestaunten.
Die eindrucksvollen steilen schwarzen Felswände und ein reissender Fluss am Eingang des Langfigtals bildeten die aufregende Kulisse
für unser Konzert im Café Oase. Mathias Weber hatte Six And More in seinem Café unterhalb der bizarren Felsformation "Teufelsloch" eingeladen, diese Eindrücke von solch gewaltiger Natur in die Musik von
Six And More einfliessen zu lassen.
In München, der "Geburtsstadt" von Six And More, hatten wir ein Konzert in der Echtzeithalle, dem ehemaligen Bierlagerkeller
einer Brauerei. Das flüstergrottenartigen Backstein-Rundgewölbe, in das Wolfgang Foag und der Echtzeithallen e.V. uns einlud, ermöglichte durch seine besondere Akustik eine äusserst differenzierte Spielweise bei
unseren Improvisationen.
"10 Jahre Six And More" feierten wir in Rotterdam. Ein ganz besonderes Konzert spielten wir hier auf Einladung von R:IP
(Rotterdamse Improvisatie Poel) im WORM, dem ehemaligen Dodorama. Es war das erste Six And More Konzert im Ausland, das Konzert mit den meisten Musikern auf "Way Out" und durch die Kooperation mit R:IP das
erste Six And More Konzert, bei dem die Hälfte der Musiker akustische Instrumente spielte.
